Freedman Center for Child & Family Development

The Richard I. and Joan L. Freedman Center for Child and Family Development was established at MSPP to support and train parents, educators and mental health professionals to best serve the needs of families. The Center offers unique programs and valuable services that address a wide range of mental health and wellness issues. The Freedman Center’s programs include: WarmLines, Project INTERFACE and Primary Project.

WarmLines has provided high-quality services to area families since 1978, and became a subsidiary of MSPP in 2008. WarmLines offers professionally-facilitated New Babies/New Moms groups and New Babies/New Parents groups, both free-of-charge to first-time parents. WarmLines continues to run its popular Music Stay-and-Play classes. WarmLines also develops special topic discussion and support groups, i.e., Support Along the Spectrum, for parents of young children diagnosed with autism, and Navigating the Rocky Road of Adolescence, for parents of teenagers.

Employers turn to WarmLines in an effort to help employees balance their work and family responsibilities. WarmLines partners with companies of all sizes to offer Child Care and/or Elder Care Resource and Referral as an employee benefit.

WarmLines presents on-site lectures, seminars and workshops on a variety of topics delivered by experts in their respective fields.
