"In this workshop, Loretta demonstrates that the possibilities for using puppets to help children are only limited by our imaginations!"
-Barbara Krakowsky, Director
Boston College Children's Center

Promoting positive social behavior and supporting emotional development in young children are a critical part of any classroom or clinical program. Puppets can be an effective tool to help children identify feelings, practice appropriate social interactions and behavior, and resolve conflicts. This program will explore the power of puppets in relationship to language and story development throughout children’s play. Participants will learn how to use puppets to meet a variety of social needs of children and contribute to the hidden curriculum of social development, including readiness for learning in other developmental areas. We will share ideas for ways to use puppets to accomplish specific goals, and to create our own puppet personalities!
